I am soooooooo tempted to buy some eggs and try it but I hear conflicting success rates from the experienced waterfowl people over at gbwf.org Forums. They all seem to really know what they are talking baout but they don't seem to be able to agree on this.

Has anyone successfully incubated mandarins without a broody or is paying so much money for these eggs a waste of time?

I have had mandarins. It SUCKS trying to hatch them - at least for me. My best advice for you is don't spend the money if you don't want to waste it. Not saying they won't hatch for you BUT it's a c.r.a.p shoot either way you go. If you REALLY want mandarins buy some birds. They are not as expensive as they once were and it beats the HECK out of spending hundreds on shook up, unhatchable eggs....

Yes I have a few pairs on order - best to wait and have the hens hatch them then.

Thanks - saved me money and disappointment!
