Has anyone taught their ducks tricks?

my duck is quite intelligent, and hes super imprinted on me. He's my little buddy and he follows me around and does everything I do. I've only accomplished one trick, where i hold a treat above his head and move it through my hands really quickly and then hold it in one (i try to confuse him anyways) and then ask him which one its in. He picks the right one 90% of the time.
That's it though, and it's too simple.
I want to teach him to high five next though.

He also seems to only work for ham, (and anything else hes not supposed to eat), any other good ideas for mouthwatering duck treats? hahah.

Freeze dried meal worms and thawed-out frozen peas are like duck-crack. As far as tricks go, I don't think my ducks are as bright as your duck.

He can learn things I just have to repeat it over and over.

I think it might be doable, if I put a board on the ground and taught three ducks to stand on the board on cue.

I'm not sure. I dont even know how that works.
I want to know if anyones taught their duck something complicated though.

Have you heard about the peabody hotel? They train their ducks to walk down a red carpet and go up the elevator.

We have 3 ducklings that are 3 weeks old today - a Pekin, a Cayuga and a Black Swedish. My daughter has been clicker training them since they were a few days old. It is amazing how quickly they learn! If you are interested in seeing a few of tricks, here are the links to the videos. Enjoy!

Can ducks be clicker trained?

Yes, they 100% can! You can also use a "bridge word/sound" to mark good behavior, which works the same way as the clicker if used correctly. My ducks are almost 12 weeks old and they are target trained and know various other cues such as "go home" (return to the coop), "catch" (catching a treat, usually a pea) and come when called. I used a clicker and marked different behaviors that they already did. Then I rewarded them as usual with the clicker. I started to add a word once they could do it and understand that that is the marked behavior. I am also working on using the same strategy with my turkeys, but they don't quite seem to understand the same way ducks do. In fact, my 5 week old chickens respond better than the turkeys
