Has anyone tried nite guard for raccoon control??

Well, I'm not saying it works, but it is working. Every night before this, my chicken food got spilled and eaten and something messed with the trap. Since I've had this up, the food and trap hasn't been messed with once! Let's hope it stays that way.

It has rained here non-stop for weeks it seems, and I check on my lights every night , and they have never stopped flashing. I know they say you should move them around, I have not moved mine, and have had no problems, but I also set 2 traps every night to be sure. Only thing I have caught is a rabbit!

lol if raccoons where so smart then you would not see them squished all over the road all the time

They might not be car smart, but they certainly are food smart and can become trap smart!
I can attest to that, my ******* coons will NOT get caught in a live trap. luckily the nite gard is keeping them at bay till the new traps arrive.

runs with 6 foot no climb and heavy duty tent stakes between the posts will keep them out if the run is covered. I use heavy duty poultry netting on top.
I have every kind of predator know to the u.s here besides wolves and so far so good. I was loosing chickens to hawks and coyotes and raccoons till I got the netting.

a gutsy hawk may try and dive bomb them through it but the hawk will loose. nothing else has even tried so far

Did the Nite Guard work for you? Had a hen killed two nights ago right inside my fenced-in patio/pool area, right outside my back door. She was about ready to go inside her coup for the night (we lock them up every night...only have 2 hens for egg laying), and about 15 minutes after I came inside the house, I went back outside and there were feathers all over the patio. We set a trap last night, but the killer ate the food & got out of the trap. Saw the Nite Guard advertised and was wondering if it would stop the killer from coming in our fenced in pool area (where the coup is) if we put them on the fence posts around the pool. Let me know how they worked for you because my two pet hens are now down to just one, and I don't want to lose her.
