You can post it to YouTube or something like that, or this (what I do)Idk how to share videos on here.![]()
Amazing!!!!! Thanks for sharing! Now I want to try!I did the YouTube thing for a few window egg videos. They’re not the best, I’m very shaky.
I don’t remember what day into the process that either video was taken on but I know the 2nd video was the 1st chick to hatch. He is a roo named ‘Legs Magee’ due to his longggg legs.
For some reason it wouldn’t let me open them. Said I needed to sign in.Amazing!!!!! Thanks for sharing! Now I want to try!![]()
yep! That’s about how it looks! My eggs are dark-shelled, so it’s hard to candle them and I can’t see anything really lol. It is set to 99.5, but I had just taken the lid off of the incubator so it went down for a minuteThis is too low and will delay development and expected hatching day. It should be around 99.5 in forced air conditions and 101.5-102 under still air conditions. You can also see temp noted in the other posters' experience that did the successful open window hatching and I quoted it for example..
Daily development chart included, from google images.. for consideration/comparison reference.. (they look more like they might be break outs/eggtopsy or maybe petree dish grown than "open window" to me).

And one for what it may look like when candling from the outside/standard view..

So cool! Thanks a lot!!I did the YouTube thing for a few window egg videos. They’re not the best, I’m very shaky.

Pulling up a chair so I can follow along. Had never heard of anything like this. A good video might be an amazing thing to share with a school. Plant your elbows on the table and brace your arms against your body to minimize shaking while filming. Good luck and have fun!Plz keep us updated! I’m sure I’ll never be successful again but so far w this batch of 9 total in incubator, 5 not fertile. The last 4 I can see heartbeats, eye & 2 have movement. I wish I would’ve taken better notes last time.So far it’s going great! Just candles the eggs, and 2 of them look bad, going to give another 2 days, then throw way so they don’t explode lol. 2 window eggs bad, but I can see a heartbeat in the one remaining (the brown one)!
Thanks to everyone for helping me out!
