If there is already a thread on this I can't find it. My chicken has been scalped by a raccoon and the front of her neck also has wounds. She was doing ok, or so i thought until last night and now she is breathing very deeply, won't open her eye, won't eat or drink. Very lethargic. I have read the tube feeding posts and would like to tube feed her the Clavamox I only just got my hands on (liquid) with some kaytee and pedialite and poultri-dent. I'm just worried about how I'm going to hold her head up.
My husband has reluctantly agreed to help me.
If anyone has any advice re holding her without harming her wounds, let me know. I think she is going to die pretty soon if i don't intervene with the feeding and antibiotics. It has been three days since the attack.
