I used Puppyfinder online to find my maltese. I scoured the shelters and breeders here in New Mexico and there wasn't a Maltese to be had! So I looked on line.

I personally called this online breeder and she gave me the impression of being very honest with me. She sent me videos and other info on her breeding establishment.

When my puppy turned 3 months old, she put him on a plane with all his vet papers and other needed paperwork and 8 hours later he landed safely in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was healthy and exactly as described online. He is now 10 yrs old and I never regret buying him online, he is the love of my life.

Oh, thank you, @TwoCrows, this is so reassuring! These people have sent me pics and now a little video of this dog and answered all my questions. I am getting so excited and can't wait to meet him! He's very playful and energetic and I think he will make a great companion for our boy. I think Gracie is going to be giving him the old side-eye for a while, but I will make sure she knows she is still my best girl!

In your case I think you are better off with puppyfinder than a shelter. This way you know something about the dog. I have gotten dogs from shelters, but when I did, I wasn't looking for anything specific.

We’re moving and we want outside dogs, sadly my parents won’t let me keep him inside anymore.
