Because lots of times it turns out to be a scam, and 2 out of three online puppies that get sold get sick. I would go with a shelter.

I got an amazing Pomeranian on that website! I enjoy their website, I definitely recommend it. For sad reasons. I am asking for about 500, but I am negotiable. There are many breeders on there, and even some shelter dogs, just talk to the owners and you can tell if they are a good owner of not.

I say go for it, but not alone.

I've been the seller of chickens online, driven up to 6hrs round trip to deliver. Not all sellers have bad intentions.

Thanks, @Cyprus . No worries, DH and "DS" going too! (Actually Dear Grandson but I did not know how to abbreviate) We will be gone all day. No way I could make that kind of trip alone, I can usually manage about a 2- hour stretch before DH has to spell me!

Thank you for your positive review of PuppyFinder. I really was hoping to hear from someone who had actually used it, so thanks! I think they probably provide a needed service. I just hope it works like it is supposed to!

Thanks, @cluckmecoop7 . Puppies from a shelter get sick, too... this doggo is 16 months old, well over a year, UTD on vaccs, neutered... I am not sure how they could scam us, but that's why I'm asking. What should we look out for?
