I would not, but let her eat if ahe is hungry. Her crop needs to be working and emptying for you to tube feed. If it is emptying, then offer food or consider tube feeding. But if it is not empty in morning, you would be adding to the problem.

How is your hen doing @Ccort ?
Hello and thanks for asking.

I took her to a vet and they have her an antibiotic, dewormer (just in case) and metoclopramide. She's now had five doses of the antibiotic. The vet said to "wait and see over the next two to three days"...I took her in Tuesday morning.

The crop is the same as it's been. :(

She wants to forage all day, I'm preventing her from doing so but feel terrible about it. She acts like she feels fine although won't eat much, except bugs.

I bought copper sulfate but haven't decide if I should try it yet. Vet said she doesn't recommend it but I know vets also don't always know what's best.

So, honestly, I don't know what to do. Part of me sees her acting well and wants to just leave her be. The other part of me is afraid death is around the corner. And I worry that letting her free range, despite it bringing her so much worse, may worsen the issue.
