Am so sorry this is my first hatch we went into lock down yesterday (day 23) while candling I thought I seen one that has already pipped so I took out the trays an put them on the bottom to hatch and raised humidity to around 70 for some reason I can't get it higher than that this was around lunch time well at 2:30 am I woke up and noticed the egg that had been rocking has a small crack it was moving alot last night around 11 pm but have noticed this morning is barely rocking and the crack has stayed the same size do I need to assist or back off and wait ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Yeah that looks like a pip but a clear photo would be better, wait at least 12 hours before considering assisting it
Sorry that was from a camera I have set on it as the incubator is in a dark room hopefully this one is better I don't see it move too much but when I put a light on it it does riggle its been about 17 hours since I woke up and noticed the crack/pip

Be patient hatching is hard work. They will rest quite a bit. Your humidity is plenty high and it will raise a bit when they hatch. I have not gotten the opportunity to hatch guineas, but I know from cracking the eggs the shell is much harder than a chicken.
Find the article on assisted hatching. Helping before the baby is ready to come out can harm it.

It can often take over 24 hours for the first pip to begin zipping. Do not be in any hurry to assist.

Okay perfect I'll start stressing if still no progress or movement by the morning thank you both so much the shells are so hard and I know one of the eggs air cells for some reason is on the pointy end and I couldn't remember if this egg Is that egg or not I just don't want it getting stuck poor thing will update in the morning thank you both again

Still no progress it's been 31 hours the only thing changed is at 1:30 am around its 24 hour mark it poked at the pip hole and ever to slightly pushed the cracked shell out a tiny bit, still moves when my tourch shines light on it I feel like it's the only time I see it move at this time am starting to stress

I would leave it alone for the time being. If it expands the pip into a round hole without zipping, then you can assist it.

I do not put guinea eggs into lockdown until day 25. Today is only day 24 for you. It shouldn't begin zipping for a couple more days yet.

Okay perfect my apologies I was using advice from artical I read on here about dry hatching guinea fowls an to go into lock down from day 23 they were put in on the 5th November so I think today's day 25 will keep a close eye on it any advice is helpful so I appreciate yours will update as we go 🤞

Happy dance it hatched !!! Is absolutely knocking the crap out of the other eggs but seems happy it hatched 9:28. This morning I didn't see any movement from my past comment on here thought to myself I'll play some keet audio noises and holy moly within half hour of that playing it went nuts and come straight out I'd say a good maybe 20 minute effort was all it took absolutely blown away but hope the others hatch
