has this ever happened to you? (no I am not crazy)

Thank you, I didn't understand why the problem I was just a kid. But I did learn to keep my mouth shut. I think things like this scare people when they don't understand something. I do have dreams and feelings and I use those to make sure that the people I love are protected. I have never seen it as a curse and I do see it as a gift from God.

Dar, the Princess has the same "6th" sense. After 47 years I have learned to defer to her when she gets these feelings. Her ability to read people and interpersonal situations is uncanny. We also had a situation where she knew we were coming up on an accident. Instances throughout the years have been many. The worst thing is that she frequently "reads" my mind. That really forces me to behave.

We always joke that this ability stems from her Hungarian gypsy heritage. Her grandmother was actually "caravan" gypsy who came to the US to escape that lifestyle. Neither her sister or our children have this "sense." It does exist!

When my boss's wife was pregnant the couple decided not to know the gender of the child. A month or so before it was due, the child announced itself to me while I napped in my car during a lunch break.

He appeared like I was looking at movie, announced who he was, that he liked to go fishing, and he would arrive when when he arrived. I told my boss and he laughed.

The happy couple had a baby boy, who arrived two weeks late, and who is now an avid fisherman.

Recently I had a dream about a former boss. No animosity toward him but once he sold the clinic we lost contact. Then I dreamed of him in rather dark brick room with many boxes packed and ready to go.

"Going somewhere?" I asked.

He smiled and said. "I'm ready to move on. It's time to go."

"Where you going?" I had to know.

He shrugged. "Don't really know. I just know it's time to move on."

And wouldn't you know I met the man just the other day. I told him of my dream. He was rather alarmed thinking dream was a warning of death.

"No, I felt no sadness, just acceptance," I said. I don't think you are going to die but whatever baggage you've been holding on to you are now ready to let go. And in my dream you were ready to move on."

We spoke a few more minutes and left with hugs.

I've had numerous wondrous incidents in my life but this one will always be with me.

I was going to work, rolling along on interstate 26, listening to the motor of my Neon as it climbed a hill. Out of no where a voice told me, very calmly, to get in the other lane. Startled, I obeyed. Just as I came over the hill, I saw a semi truck parked in the emergency. The driver had climbed on the front bumper to get the hood open. He slipped and fell, rolling out onto the interstate.

If I had been in that lane I would have killed the man.
