Hello! I’m planning to set some eggs tomorrow evening- this will be my first time! I’ve always just let my broody girls hatch their own in the past, but I’d like to try hatching with an incubator. I’ll be putting in some Ameraucana eggs, some Black Copper Marans eggs, and some AmeraucanaXBCM cross eggs. I’m a bit nervous about not being able to see much with candling the BCM eggs, so hopefully all goes well!

It's a little late, but I have 14 seramas that are on day 5 (three are under my broody silkie...it's her first time, so we'll see how she does!) plus 5 more seramas that are on day 2. I've done it so many times but hatching NEVER gets old! Can't wait!
:ya

I am a hatching addict.... Been over 2 yrs since my last hatch. And of course, I am making up for it.

I have a barnyard mix with several eggs that are darker and hard to see.

I'm a hatch-a-holic too, but after this batch that I have in the incubator now, I'm taking a break until after my 3 blue egg laying Crested Cream Legbars pullets and the cockerel get old enough to give me eggs to go in there.

I set some guinea eggs today, enough to fill up the incubator where there was space from the ones i set on the 9th. So these are a week behind the others. My first incubator has a lot of quail in it. So once those hatch on the 20th, i will clean that up and move the new eggs over there, avoiding a staggered hatch.

Has anyone set one doz day and do that for three days I read it makes it easier that they arent hatching at the same time??? Setting tonight trying to bal out the humity 4 reading and 10 degree diffence The man at the incubator warehouse toldme to to dived the differnce and go with the middle gauge Ill think about it
