Hatch A Long

Oh wow your rouen is moving them like crazy and they are hatching. @shawluvsbirds.

That was a little call duck. And yes she was! That was the hatch I lost all of. I learned to leave her be after that.

@Magnolia Ducks when that happens do you have to pull the duckling out?

Sometimes they hatch just fine on their own anyway. .but other times they get stuck. Assisting is a slow process. . and it's very hard to know when to help. You just have to use your judgement and hope for the best! Too soon and you'll have them out with un absorbed yolk sack.

@Matieus27 atleast you don't got that long to wait! I hope I don't have to worry about the positioning, hopefully they all hatch with no problems.

Not exactly. The article by @Pyxis is very helpful. You kind of slowly peel the shell off while leaving the membrane intact. If you see any blood STOP! Wait. This sometimes takes 3 days. I hurried the first time and killed it.

Also sometimes they takeover. Beauregard was half peeled and finished himself.
