Hatch Along 4th of March?

I peeked today at 4 out of the 24 eggs! I see development in the two Delaware eggs but nothing in the two store bought eggs I checked. I will give them a few more days and check again. If nothing then I will give them a toss. Oh well, wasn't counting on them anyways. But development in both of the Delaware eggs I checked is good.

Im Going to Candle tonight because i think i havent done it yet and i got to do a broody on tuesday :S so alot of eggs to check

Below are a couple of pictures of my homemade aquarium incubator. If you notice the thermometer on the left side of the tank reads in the mid 90's. You can't see the black thermometer temp, but it reads 100. There is a third temperature and humidity sensor between the two that the cable is going to. I can hook this device up to my laptop and get a third reading, which is slightly higher than the black thermometer (101). I do have a small fan under the 100W light bulb to circulate the air but I still have hot and cold spots. Everytime I turn the eggs I rotate the egg carton 180 degrees to hopefully even out any temperature differences from one end of the aquarium to the other. I think after this hatch I will put insulation around the sides and back and mount the heat source and fan to the top of the aquarium to achive a more even heat distribution. Right now I have a clear piece of 1/4" plastic on the top.

The picture below shows the bulb, fan and water heater thermostat surrounded by foil.

i set 40 of barred rock, rhode island, and some personal gamefowl due on the 3rd of march....candled them last night and 36 show development...the other 4 are kind of dark eggs and my led light was not abel to go thru...hope everything goes well for allo of us in this 1st week of march....good luck everybody

It is a 10 gallon tank. The mesh is 1/2" x 1/2" pvc coated steel. Stuff they were throwing away at work. One persons trash is another persons treasure! I candled all 24 eggs tonite and only saw development in 6 or 7 WL eggs. The RIR eggs were difficult to see thru. Just to be safe I think I will leave all in until I can tell for sure which are duds and which are not.

Nice Home Made incubator at one time i made my own but it broke i might repair it :)

candled today, I cannot see any of the orps, just too dark of a shell :( Saw good development in 1 duck egg, and not sure about others. first time incubating so I guess I'll just wait a few more days and try candling again.
