Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

Guess what guys? I HAVE ANOTHER PIPPER!! Yippeee!!! Hope will have another friend! I went and candled the eggs that were left in the incubator (which I thought were dead) and I saw one of them pipping internally! (scratching on the inside to externally pip, actually!) YAY!! It is day 25, so I hope it will be okay. One of the eggs I threw out 'cause it smelled like farts, but three or so more I think might be viable also, 'cause they don't smell, and are filled up quite a lot! Soooooooo excited for Hope!!!!! Yippeeeee

Here is Hope all fluffy:

The strange thing was: Hope was peeping to the egg and was hugging the one that was internally pipping: It's as if she knew there was a baby alive in there!!!

Well I am not completly sure what day, I just noticed her sitting on them on nov 26 (which was more than 3 weeks ago) About 5 days ago I came home and noticed the light in my coop was off and when I went out to change th bulb she wasnt on her nest, she was in the box next to her so i think she got off the eggs for a minute and when she went back to the coop she got confused and got in the wrong box. When I saw she wasnt on them I had a panick attack and prayed the eggs were not cold to the touch but they were :/ So I have no clue how long she was off so could that have killed them? I have candled them several times, I did it a few days ago and I didnt see moevemenrt or any internal pipping but the egg is very full so there is a baby in there fully developed. I just dont want to break open the 4 that floated in case they are just late.

Did you put her back on the right nest?

Yes I did but there is no telling how long she was off of it. I just put her back on asap in hopes that some would hatch and then the one little guy/girl made it out but I haven' t seen anything in the others :( Looks like I may not get any out of these ones. I think thy should have hatched by now and she killed her only living chick

you are on day 25. No thermostat. zero humidity control - and another one pipped? good gawd, you defy all logic

Nothing going on inside the bator with the remaining eggs. My humidity was a bit high duing the hatch. Did it hurt the babies left in the shells? I'm going to float test the rest. There are 8 and I didn't see 4 of those even move through out the lockdown.

Don't give up hope yet! They all might just be late because she got off the nest, and they cooled down for a bit, thus making them stop developing for a while.

Don't disturb the hen and wait for any more peeps from under her. :3
