Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

WOW thats great. So what would you sell cornish hens for? Thats what I'd like to get into. Anyone here into cornish hens? I'm talking about the little birds, I understand they have big cornish hens or am I mistaken.

As far as I know Cornish hens are Cornish hens they are the large birds just killed early in the process so that they are smaller.

We have some Jumbo Cornish Rock Cross chickens that are the fast maturing ones. They are due to go to freezer camp pretty soon... I do not wish to raise these chickens again!!! Told hubby that I would much rather stick to the dual purpose breeds. We have already had a few die from heart attacks.

Just hatched our 3rd small batch of chickies. So far we have had all 100% hatches!! Granted two hatches were only 4 chicks each, and this last one was only 2.. but they still all hatched and all survived! Our next two batches have 10 and 12 each, and hubby wants to set another one this month of 12, so hopefully our hatch rate will continue. I for one am very surprised since we use two LG still air incubators, no fan, one for incubation with a turner and one for hatch, and have had no problems!

hi kat.......i'd say somewhere between $8 to $10.......i usually sell my cockerels at around 2 1/2 months sometimes earlier, my buyers want them at around 2 lbs for their tenderness....i usually keep my males inside a coop that way they keep on feeding and dont loose weight by being loose in the yard, they just sleep and feed.
