Im to wish I could candle but I know better hey do better the mre they are left alone but it is hard

Lol rgvchicks. xD True... anyway. I have an EXCELLENT report form candling my eggs.... ALL OF THEM ARE FERTILE!!! except for one. I think it died on around day 6 or 7.. I'll upload pics of it tomorrow, but I am so tired right now, I can barely type. One of my eggs had a hairline crack on it that I had not noticed before... and the baby inside it is alive and MOVING :DD What should I do? patch it up? Is it doomed to die? I think I must have accidentally dropped a marble on it a few days ago, (not from very high though, my bad) so I don't know if it hurt it. Does anybody know of a way to make sure it doesn't die. I want as many babies as possible!! :DD I think I have 8 or 7 alive now. They are all SO DARK inside right now. I could see one of their feet moving when I candled. I am so excited! I am gaining hope fast!

Well tomorrow is Day 14. Candled a couple nights ago; I don't remember the exact numbers but several Welsummers out of 19, two or three Ameraucauna out of 5, (all shipped) and four out of six of my own bantyX BO eggs showed signs of life. Some of the AM and Wellie eggs were too thick to see into well so not certain. I'll candle again before lock down and remove any that are obvious duds. Have my fingers crossed to get a good showing.

hello 3D.......happy to hear your report......regarding the little cracked one, i usually use unscented candle wax, just a little drop and rub it in between the crack.....i've done it a couple of times and babies have made it till hatching......best of luck

Pip AND peeps!
Pip AND peeps!

So excited that we pulled my 10 yr old daughter back out of bed, now everybody is huddled around the incubator watching :)
This first to pip is an Olive Egger.
We have a contest going to guess which breed will be the first to hatch so everyone is rooting for their own team/breed.

So Not sleeping now!!!
YIPEEE!
