Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

What is sticky chick? I know all about the shrink wrapped but dont know what the sticky chick means.

A sticky chicks is what happens when you open the incubator too much during the last three days and the eggs aren't warm enough, and the membrane inside the egg turns all glue- like. At least that's what I heard...

Hope isn't going to have a buddy for a while. The people at the hatchery said that they weren't going to have chicks shipped to where I live for a month or more, so I might have to hatch some more myself. o.o Of course the guy said that the chick doesn't need a buddy, but I think she does. It would be a lonely life not having anyone to be with for most of the day. Maybe I'll just wait a month for the chicks to arrive at the agro. co-op place, and get one then, but that's so far away!! Urg! I want different breeds though... if I were to incubate more, they would all be the same breed as Hope!

It's best not to candle them until at least they're one day late. It won't change anything if you do. Watch some T.V. That's how I coped with the stress. After every hour/half hour show, go back and see if anything's happened and repeat. At night, set your alarm clock every 2-3 hours and check on them.   Of course you could always just stare until your eyes pop out of your head.

All mine are done hatching. Every morning there was one or two pipping then at night I had my las to pip.

Oh, how I wish I were. I live in Canada though. lol It's very rare when you'll meet someone local on here. (or any website)

Have you checked with the buy sale trade section of the fourm fro someone near yu that has chicks
