What is a Hatch-Along?
A hatch-along is when people set eggs around the same time and then share their hatching experiences and/or cheer each other on.

Who can make a Hatch-Along thread?
Anyone! All BYC members can start a hatch-along thread in this forum.

Do I have to set eggs to join a Hatch-Along?
No, anyone can join a hatch-along thread.

How do I start a Hatch-Along?
It's easy, just start your thread by clicking here! Be sure to include "Hatch-Along" in your title. Threads without hatch-along in the title will be moved.

Is a Hatch-Along just for chickens?
No, it can be for any type of bird!

Can I be in more than one Hatch-Along?
Yes! There is no limit on how many Hatch-Alongs one can participate in.

When someone in the Hatch-Along has an emergency or urgent question that no one has answered, what should we do?

I already hatched like 13 hens 6 rooster but at the time we didn't know it. We had our incubator all set up with our chicken egg and duck egg, that was last April. Now we are down to 3 rooster soon to be 2.
And we will be putting 3 beautiful turkey eggs in our incubator.

Now of my turkey eggs ever hatched and there was at least 20, we left some out there with them and they never laid on them

If your turkey hens won't go broody, could you watch for one of your chicken hens to go broody and give her a few? Depending on size of hen, maybe 4-5 would be the most.
