Hatch Along March 1st

Just locked down my 34 barn yard mix eggs. This is getting exciting!

This waiting is for the birds. I REALLY hate waiting. Hurry up and do something, anything before I go insane.

Amen...I set March 1 and NOTHING yet...had to add 2 eggs to lockdown today...badly timed staggered hatch (will be more careful in the future) and since the bator had to open why not candle, right? Everyone was alive and kicking but only 1 internal pip. Ugh...SO hard to be patient!

OMG! I have a baby chick. I went to bed at 1 am all dissapointed about no pips and woke up at 6:30 with a completely hatched chick! I can't believe how cute she is!!! No other pips yet. The temp went up to 101.7 after she hatched so i cracked the lid open a tiny bit for less then a second . The humidity is so high in there because i put lots of water containers and sponges. The only way i can see in past the condensation is because i put one of those magnetic aquarium cleaners on the top glass so i can wipe way the condensation . I don't wipe directly above where the eggs are because the water dropping on them freaks me out. it stil drips on them though. should i worry? I am good at worrying...

Day 23 still nothing? What should I do with the eggs I have left?

Day 19 of incubation of Genetic Hackle eggs from Fly Fisher, starting to hear little chirps tonight as I sit here tying Hornberg dry flies. Thankful that spring is here.

Day 20 and first chick has broken shell about halfway during the night, several more starting to peep now.

We have a baby!!!! So happy my daughter was awake to watch!

Egg facing wrong side up has still made no progress through. It has now been 17-19 hours.

So adorable!! I can't wait to see this again Hope it all goes well for me, I had some temp fluxes going into lockdown. Seems to have evened out though at 98/99. Hatching should begin tonight and tomorrow
