Hatch-Along - Setting eggs Sunday, anyone wann join me?

Glad to have ya! And enjoy thos quail I have my leagle limit every time I hatch I have hatched about 200 total all for meat and eggs bbut only leagally allowed to have 50 birds at one time here in FL
I love the quail! those are so easy they are like the roaches of the poultry world (repopulate just sittng on incubator, not kidding I set eggs on top of lid and then set them and they hatched 3 days early)

Very interesting! I guess you have enough humidity outside the incubator, being in Florida. That would be cool to see!

Yeah, laws can be nuts. Especially if you want to sell more than 100 (I think) processed birds +/or eggs in Canada. Gov't established a quota system, so you have to pay them an insane amount of money in order to sell your chicken products. Also, feed stores issue you a small flock registration number when you purchase chicks. Now big bro can keep tabs on chicken folks. They can come & inspect your property. I believe in keeping it simple, so I don't sell anything! We process & keep everything on site, so its basically a closed flock. No need for gov't interference. Guess gov't feels the need to protect the big poultry meat & egg industry from the smaller farmers. Oy!
