Hatch-Along - Setting eggs this weekend (Jan5/6) WHOS WITH ME!

@feyraine we have the still air LG and we have humidity at 58-62 should it be higher?
wow, given all my failure w/ the home made coolerbator I'm hardly the one to give advice.
I just know if they have been trying to hatch for a very very long time , like days, w/o progress it *sometimes"
means they are having problems b/c of humidity too high or too low, at hatch gen. it needs to be high so they don't get glued/shrinkwrapped.
That sounds about ok for low end, some ppl do higher at hatch, like 70% but too much is bad also.

There is a LG thread on BYC I have just started reading it to try the borrowed LG, maybe you could check that thread for exact advice on
the hatch humidity for the LG b/c I'm not sure....

They were hatched out late Sunday night, the 27th. I think the little Seramas really feather in and mature faster than many other breeds, too. They are not bigger than your Australorps I bet :D they look HUGE but they're not much bigger around than a 50 cent piece when you look at them from above... and might be 2 1/2 or 3" tall :D
Oh, OK, must just be the perspective in the picture... they sure are cute though, that color contrast is really neat.

Congrats to the new chick mommies and daddies, and I am so sorry to you guys who lost babies...It's never easy no matter how short their little lives have been. *hugs* Here are my two which hatched from this hatchalong... one week old yesterday, London and Raine...exchequer Seramas :D
where did you get that color of serama? that is a color im trying to get in with my d'uccles.

Ive been on egg watch for the past hour while dblea202 gets done with work. Our 3 eggs have started to wobble more frequently then the past 12 hours... Our one egg has started to really wobble again!!!!

This isnt the best pic but does this egg look fertile? I ate eggs for breakfast and I think my eggs were fertile. Funny thing is its one of my chickens that isnt housed with the rooster, all the chickens free ranged once all together a few days ago so I think my Marans Rooster got my EE hen and who knows who else.

it looks as though there is a germinal disk.

Question: Hs anyone mixed chicks from different hatches? I have 2 from the New Year's Day hatch and 14 from Jan 27th that I would like to put in the same pen, 4 foot by 5 foot in size with a couple of feed and heat sources.
