Yep! I've got one wobbler!

Yay Im excited for you. It all really has begun between all of us we will have so much to talk about and share and SOOOOOOO many babies. YAY!

This will be my BF's 1st hatch. After watching the silly man baby talk my hens for the past week & carry quail around in his hoodie pocket I can just imagine what he's going to be like when the eggs start peeping at him.

(I didn't just find an enabler for my chicken addiction, I created a fellow addict!!!)

Maybe you need to get some pics of him with the eggs and the fluffy butts! Love it when the guys fall hard for the little chicks!

Which of your eggs are wobbling? Are they all the same or different colors?

He has also already claimed 1 of my chicks as "HIS." My little Brown Red OEGB that hatched last week has now been dubbed "Maxi" (Max for a boy & Maxine for a girl...told him I'm pretty sure it's a girl)

A little bit different, 1 is a light tannish/olive, 1 is a dark tannish/olive, and 1 is a darkgreen/olive. All different shades of olive So kinda the same but a little different

. Oh and I think right after lockdown this afternoon my blue one moved but I think I may have nudge the incubator Im not sure.

Yeah, I thought a couple more of mine were moving, but I've since determined it was probably vibrations from my energetic 8 year old, practicing her tap routine in her bedroom. haha

Mine went into lockdown tonight! I think these last three days are the worst part! I had shipped eggs and only 16 out of 51 went into lockdown. Good luck everyone!! Let the hatching begin!

I'm about to go into lockdown on the 11 chicken eggs at day 18

But first I re-candled the 6 duck eggs they are all alive w/ movement, 2 are actually odd looking - I'm hoping NOT twins, from all the reading I've done today it would be nearly impossible that I'd get even one live chick from a double yolk / twin egg . My DH took some video he is trying to figure out how to get it so I could post it . He is convinced it is just one embryo in there & I'm seeing the head & body as 2 dark blobs. I hope he is correct b/c then maybe I'll get one live duckling from that egg. If he can make the video work I'll post it.

Soon I'm off to do the switching around for lockdown... let the hatching go well for all!

I have runners. But they are taking a break from laying for the winter.

I'm waiting until I move to get eggs, so patience isn't an issue for me. There is a farm in Corvallis that has runners, so I was probably gonna get two babies from them to start out. If you don't mind me asking: What are your prices when they start laying?
