I have 6 Rainbow Layers hatched out of an original 48 set. We had to cull 1 & 2 are resting back in the bator because the other babies I got Thursday from Ideal are a bit rambunctious for them & were trampling them. I had to have JJ cull 1 that couldn't get it's legs under it & ended up face down in the sand in the bottom of the brooder gasping in sand instead of air. 5 of the 6 were assisted hatch to at least some degree because we ended up with low humidity & had shrinkwrap issues. I was actually really surprised any hatched at all after having temps swing from 90 to 116F. These have to be VERY hearty babies to have survived. The next batch is due the 5th but may also be running behind due to temp issues. This bacth was 4-5 days late.
The 5 in the middle with green dots on their heads are the Rainbow babies.
