FINALLY! My eggs came! I ordered seven White Leghorn eggs, but 3 arrived completely smashed! YoteKiller31 did NOT do a great job of packaging them. They were in an egg carton with a layer of bubble wrap on top. Thankfully, I will not have to buy any more eggs this year, as my girls are starting to lay again.

That sucks Three of my buff orp eggs were smashed and one was badly cracked. But that was out of 24, and the seller sent extras anyway...

Sorry about your eggs, that's not an acceptable way to package. I'm actually surprised someone would pack that way and expect them to arrive safely. I hope the rest develop, if 3 got smashed they had a rough trip. Let us know what they look like in a week.

Well, I got the bug. I bought 4 goose eggs and 4 duck eggs ( which they sent an extra of each). Now I have 2 bators goin, set the geese eggs the 15 th ..

. What kind of duck and goose eggs did you get? My second bator is just itching to get started. I wish my geese and silkie ducks would lay.

I candled my eggs on Friday night, day 5. The only thing I could see was the yolk in my light green eggs. I could not see a stinkin thing in my dark green eggs. I know they have to be fertile. I had 4 roosters in that pen before I separated my breeds.

I candled last night and I have LIFE

All the eggs appear to be fertile though it is really hard to see through my dark green eggs. I even saw movement in my eggs that were in the fridge for 3 weeks and washed. We shall see if they are viable or if they quit early.

i started my second bator with the geese and duck eggs..... the geese are brown chineese but the ducks (i dont know .... there are 3 white ones and 2 blue ones).... but as fare as species i done know.

I set 5 Turken eggs in the same bator as my 14 EE eggs yesterday morning, I need to check the fertility of my Turken flock

It's a good excuse anyway.

I candled 14 Swedish Flowers one no development. 11 looking good with movement and 2 undecided about amazing compared to my last shipped eggs. 7 sebright eggs 2 early quitters and 2 maybes with 3 with movement. recandle on day 14 to see if things still going strong.
