Hatch-ALong - Setting first eggs 4/5, hatch day 4/26. Anyone want to join me?

The one that piped this afternoon is starting to zip and two more Silkie eggs are rocking! I will probably have chicks out by morning! This is actually my first time doing a real lockdown while hatching...I've hatched chicks several times without knowing I wasn't supposed to open the incubator those last few days. I'm hoping that I will have a really good hatch since I'm carefully monitoring humidity this time and not opening the 'bator to check on anyone!

I now have 5 pips, but the first pip happened around 1pm today and there has been nothing since.

They can stay pipped up to 24 hours and be fine... I know it took HOURS from my pip to a hatched chick Hang in there and Congrats you should have some cute fuzzy butts soon

I'm up to 4 pips!
Of course they picked a day where I need to be somewhere. Hopefully they wait for me to get home tonight before they start hatching...

I woke up to one hatched chick and one more pipping...and plenty of peeping comming from the incubator so it looks like I'm well on my way to a full hatch now. So far it's all Silkies making noise but the Barnie eggs were set a day later (USPS didn't get there here the day they were supposed to come...grrr) and they traveled farther through the mail.

The hatched chick might be a paint! I thought the PA marked on the top meant partridge but this chick does not look partridge at all...can't wait to see what else I get!

Hooray for all the new pips, and peeps

I had two hatch out around 1AM, and when I got up this morning they had all hatched.

Six cute little fuzzy butts just sitting in the bator.
