This morning I have 1 bcm hatched and 2 eggs with good size pips and 2 eggs still to do anything

I'm up waiting/hoping the post office calls with an shipment of turkey that's hopefully coming in today

Hi everyone,

I was browsing this thread and realize it's a bit late but reading the posts got me excited!!
I'm expecting some chicks (and keets!!!)
I have a bantam frizzle hen and bantam silkie That decided to go broody mid winter lol.
They are actually sharing one nest and taking turns. There is two guinea eggs under them. As to what the chicks will be, it's a mystery! In my bantam side of my coop there is 3 silkie hens and two roosters, Belgian Danver pair, mille fleur hen, trio splash bantam Cochin, three frizzle hens (there's two roosters on the standard side). So these chicks could be anything! I'm always excited to see the mystery chicks grow and hatch!

They've been on the nest over two weeks so not long to go!!!

Oh and I forgot to say there is 4 or 5 chicken eggs with the two guinea eggs in the nest

yeah!!!! turkey arrived plus "male chicks for warmth" i ordered 5 turkey poults and they sent 10 male chicks for warmth with them I'm hoping they are meat birds not sure what other white chicks ideal poultry has

As far as whats hatching, still just the one chick out but i have 3 out of the remaining 4 eggs pipped

Good morning! I'm new to hatching but already quickly addicted. I had one run with 6 eggs to start (being unrealistic and optimistic I was concerned that they would all hatch) but my homemade bator was more of a challenge than originally perceived! I have a neighbors barred rock, red star, americaunas, Rhode Island reds eggs along with my own gold laced wyandottes. Fingers crossed my shipment of black French copper Marans and buff orps come quickly to get underway!!!
I want to say thanks to all those that share the love of their chickens and hatching experiences on BYC. I've been on here countless times but today's the day I made an account!

Do you know how hard it is to NOT candle? Saturday isn't that far away. I should be able to just wait patiently for something to happen. It's just so hard!!

That is funny about sending 10 male chickies for warmth! Glad your precious package arrived safely!
We have two royal palm Tom's, a bronze hen and a bronze x red hen which we got last year as day olds.
Three are extremely tame especially the bronze hen and the other hen is sometimes tame and sometimes well she gets a bit moody!
