Hi Luke, Mrs Fluffy Puffy, steelersfan43, gckiddhouse, and the March-hatching family! Just wanted to introduce you to the first addition to my silkie "flock." Her name is Tulip.

Isn't she (?) the cutest thing?

That beak in the picture is Daisy, my blue hen and she is looking a bit too curious. I may need to separate them. What do you think?

I would think that the mom would get upset if the other hen gets too close to the baby?? Probably could watch them to make sure though. So cute!!!

All 3 of my silkies hatched as of this morning! This is Tulip, all fluffed up at one day old. Thanks for the support everyone! I couldn't have survived the stressful, nail-biting, intensely satisfying, and completely joyous ride without you! Thank you so much. I'll post more pics of the chicks as they venture out from the mommas! Sorry about the pic, she was mid-dive under her mom!
