Hey guys, not much new to report, Temp holding good, humidity in the range of 45%. I replaced a turning switch on my incubator. I had to hot wire it until the switch came in. --now I can level off the trays with out creative wireing. Wind if blowing like crazy out here today. Turned hen out ---and they ran out once , turned around and ran or blew back in.----17 degrees.

I've just started mine today on this special Valentine's day. Hatch-Day will be on the 7th of March. Originally started with 33 (11-BCM, 11 Ameraucanas, 7 BA. 2 mutt bantam and 2 mystery eggs) I dropped 1 BCM... aaargh...Now down to 32. Good luck to all!!!

these are set in a LG Still Air, with an AutoTurner.

Thanks for starting this thread Luke! It feels like a family awaiting their newborns! LOL I candled the eggs when the hens got up to eat and I could see veins in 2 of the 4 on Day 3. I'll check again in a few days.

Hey Luke, one more question ... is it okay that I didn't let the eggs settle after I received the hatching eggs in the mail? From various threads, leaving the eggs for 8-24 hrs to let the air sac equalize is suggested. What does that mean? I can't find an adequate explanation in anything I've read so far. When the eggs arrived, I think they were sitting in my garage for at least a 2-5 hrs and then I put them under the hens. My guess is that since I see embryos they're fine but do want to give them the best chances for survival, you know? I'd like to know for next time ... I want to get more hatching eggs. I think I got bit by the bug! LOL
