I just put in 10 Pumpkin Hulsey, 10 Spitzhaubens and 2 little Silkies.

I really like my Brinsea ...my sister had one of those LG styrofoam incubators and she turned the eggs herself she had decent hatches with it...maybe its all in the way you hold your mouth while you are watching the incubator...

.....lol...thinking incubating lucky thoughts for you..

Hi just wanted to tell you we received the eggs so I just put 24 silkie eggs in the bator so hopefully they are okay..due to hatch Nov 18...

I just candled my eggs last night. I thought that I would see alot of veining? All of my eggs I set monday, about half of the egg is dark. What does that mean. they were all light when I put them in there. Are they developing to fast? How do you know when they are going bad? Should I see movement? Help!!

Hi there are lots of good posts on here about candling i never candle til after 14 days near lockdown time as then i can really see if there is anything in there..this is only my 3rd time incubating...so i hope i can get it right...got 10 hatched out of 11 nankins last time but the 2 silkie eggs never fired up...this time its all silkies as the little nankins pop out at 19 days so i think it messes up the humidity and they climb all over the eggs...they are still all alive into their 2nd week of growth and peeping away....dont panic the hardest thing about hatching is having the patience to wait..lol...

I have a total of 15 eggs in my bator, all at different stages. No idea if this will work.

It was an emergency thing because of my devil dog...
So, a few that seem to be on day 12-20. Some a few days, and others in the middle. Oh, and one I just picked up, so a day.

I'll be glad if anything hatches, lost 10-12 birds this morning....

Bought the LG 9200 incubator and then the Turner kit today at noon. They didn't have the fan kit. I was able to get the temp up and stable in 2hrs. They were in a craft bin with water and a heat lamp until it was ready for them...

I took out three eggs today. None of the three were developing. I still have 42 left.(25 on day 7 and 17 on day 5) Who knew I woulod be going in and looking about 5 times a day.

I set 12 eggs on sunday 10/31
5 duccles
4 serama
2 bantam cochin
1 standard cochin

I will also be setting some more in a few days!!
So excited! first hatch

Ok on day 11 and My turner bit the dust. I was hand turning some of my eggs anyway, because I only have 4 rail. I have decided to continue to hand turn a just wove the rails on the ones in the turner. That should still be OK right? Seven more days to lock down. My son is helping me with the last few days, because I have to go on a trip. How is everybody doing with their hatch?
