Hatch day fears

Oh, and I did open up alien and it was terrible. Nothing at all but black liquid. No solid. I don't understand how that could be when it was moving before lockdown.

Hmmm.... Sounds like you had a bacterial infection. Those things are nasty, and very damaging. I would give your other eggs a few more days, but if you have no progress after about day 25 then they probably won't hatch ): however, some Eggs been known to go all te way to day 28 and hatch. Bacteria can enter through porous shells easily and also normal shells. Water contact can force bacteria into the shell. Also cracks, not washing your hands before touching the eggs, the condition of the parents, and the condition of the incubator can create a suitable habitat for bacteria. This next set of eggs still has a chance of hatching, but if they don't, for your next incubation I would suggest anti-bacterializing and cleaning the bator very very well. Copper helps a LOT with bacteria, too. Copper will kill/prevent the growth of bacteria. I've tested this myself with my incubator and it works very well in preventing any harmful things from growing in my incubator with the eggs. Make sure the eggs are clean before putting them in the bator, but do not wash them. This rubs off the protective covering laid over the shell that protects bacteria from entering the eggs.
