Hatch day fears

Lol I flipped out on my first hatch. But it all worked out in the end- and I'm sure your going to have an amazing chick in a few days!

Love your rooster! I have chicks hatching out next week. homemade incubator. have not been getting sleep. I have relaxed a little though. I only get up once at night to make sure they do not get cold. I pretend I am using the restroom, or getting a drink of water so I won't get in trouble for acting too much like a new mother.

LOL this summer, with my homemade incubator, I got up so much to check on them that my parents started to call me "Mother Hen" and almost banned me from chickens!

Thanks :-D I love him too :-D I've hardly been sleeping. It's taking it's toll on my sanity... Really hope it's not for nothing and Alien lives..
I keep speaking myself out reading about what can go wrong. Shrink wrapping, drowning etc

Don't candle just yet- be patient. Is the temp and humidity good? As long as your humidity is around 70% an you don't open the bator, you don't need to worry much about shrink wrapping. What day is the egg on? What breed is it?

It's day 22 now. Humidity is kinda low. Only 50%
I'm doing a staggered hatch I guess. I Have more in there due in nine days.

Hrmm you might wanna bump that humidity up....
