Tuesday we'll go into lockdown, out of 26 eggs only one was not fertile!!!! were expecting a great mix of chicks come this week!!!!

I'm so excited! I will be candling the night before lockdown (monday night) and hope to see one move maybe. They are scheduled to hatch in the morning, so I may be able to take the day off!

It's hard to believe hat they are going to be arriving this week! In 5 days, no less!

Squeeeeeeeeeeee! I am excited about it.

I candled on friday and my eggs have been reduced to a bakers dozen. Come on chickies! Grow! Grow!!!

I know, Im so excited! I'm gonna candle tonight for one last chance at seeing them move, and then lock them down before school tomorrow!

Also, there is someone selling laying hens in a town near mine... I want them! Im in the process of getting more info.... also, permission, but that can wait!

I am going to join in with yall I will be locking down Wednesday night. I have 9 blrw and 4 bc Marans. Had to throw 6 out due to infertility or bad shipping but yes I too am excited and can't wait!!! So we will ride this one out together

I put my eggs on lockdown this morning at about 6. The humidity is steady right now at about 59% and the temp is still climbing at 94.something.

Mine are due the 29th also I'll join in!! Locked down this afternoon. Temp is at 99.7 and humidity is at 70 percent. First time hatching in a bator usually use broodies. But I can't take it anymore. Mine are all wyandottes couple blrw, couple blues, and starting a buff columbian project I've always wanted to do. Good luck!! Mike

flgardengirl-- did you have the split lavs or get them from someone? and what does GC maran stand for. Kinda New to this.

GraceAK -- Looks like a nice assortment. Said you should of got SS. What does that stand for.

the Pollo Loco --- Looks like your batch will be the funnest. Lets see what we get.

marlin -- Nice assortment!! Where did your blrw come from? I've had mine for years, and just got new roosters in the last months
