Hatch day

I have a little black Cochin chicken hatched this morning and three other eggs pipped. Twenty-five eggs total in the incubator. This is why I like spring, new life.

I hatched ten chicks. I had a lot of non fertile eggs, some quitters. Most of them are bantam Cochin and Delaware. Go figure with a twelve pound rooster. Where there is a will there is a way.
