candled this a.m.

today will be day 12. out of 28 fertile eggs, one stopped developing.

the pic is graphic, but AMAZING!

two headed chick! if you look, you can see the feet and wings developing.
i could see the spine, the bumpy skin and more! but the two heads, that was very interesting.

it was weird! it's in the fridge so i can show chickensnatcher when she gets home from school.

at first, i thought it was a really big head. upon further inspection, obviously no.

well, you know the Doulbemint Twins always say, "Two heads are better than one!"

I really wish we had hatched chicks in highschool biology classes and dissected the quitter embryos and got to see things like this. It's so interesting when you get to see the whole cycle - the ones who thrive and the ones who don't.
