I was thinking that was you. Thankfully a number of my eggs (from previous incubations, anyway) came from my own birds, so I wasn't out anything for those eggs, but I had a batch of guinea eggs, and these eggs that I paid to have shipped in. I'm thinking I'm somewhere in the $75 range for hatching eggs now. It sure would be nice if I got at least three out of the batch, though $25 per bird still seems ridiculous.
My muscovy had a nest she was sitting on earlier this month, the cayuga eggs should have hatched this week as well, but she's off the nest and I swear the eggs disappeared, I have no idea what happened to them, but I didn't worry about those--I knew she was young and may not sit them the whole time. I'm sure predators didn't get to them because of where her eggs were, but I don't know what she did with them.
My other muscovy hen has started a nest. I'm thinking I might just toss them in the bator this weekend and see what happens. One of my hens has been laying in there too. lol
