****UPDATE****

Ok early this morning i heard peeps wasn't sure from who still isn't..

but now theres nothing no pips or peeps so i'm waiting

i put the bobwhite eggs in the hatcher this morning and i seen a few of them wiggling

Tori if that chick in the wax egg starts to hatch will it be able to break through the waxs?

Temps are 99.5 Humidity is 72%

i'll be posting new pics of the 2 chicks i have now

having just hatched an egg that was waxed due to a crack it got during shipping, I can tell you what I did. I took a razor and shaved off the wax as close to the egg I could get before I put it in the hatcher. The problem with the wax is it's pliable and I don't think the chick can break through it because it stretches. good luck

Yeah! we're hearing peeping from the eggs! I'm so excited.

And now I have to leave the hosue for the rest of the day. Man oh man!

well 2 chicks hatched in the incubator and 1 under Sumi (the broody hen.) All look dark blue not splash. Oh well, next time. The other 4 eggs in the bator were formed, but didn't pip into the inner aircell. No movement, so I intervened, but not in time. Major Bummer! Hope the other egg under Sumi hatches still. She's still setting and seems to be very good with her 1 baby. We just saw it come out from under her- so tiny- but she was very gentle with it. Not so with us tho- lots of growling and she tried to peck me when I reached in near her. I don't blame her tho- that's her only baby so far. I'll get pics once these 2 in the house are all the way fluffed up.
