I am SO ready to unplug my incubator(s)... I missed a lot of summer fun for the most part because I couldn't leave for more than a day at a time.

I will plan much better next year. BUT... our turkey started laying, so DH wants to see if they're fertile, and I've been saving Millies and Silkies and Light Brahmas. So, in a week, when the Turkey eggs are a week old, I'll pop the chickies in there for one... more...hatch.

I kinda like the buff silkie, there, Mark... but I already have 3 pens to split out... I don't need (but I want!) another color!!! LOL!

It was the blue bearded egg

From what i can see she's really dark like black i guess from being wet but both her wing tips are white and one big toe on each foot is white

Something else i don't understand.. i was watching her hatch and the white sac that was around her look like white leather.. no wonder it took her so long.. witch i don't understand.. my humidity has been fine since day 18

Oh your buff is so beautiful!!!! And congrats on your new baby too! Can't wait to see pics of that one!!!

About the humidity - I'm pretty new at this; you've all hatched ALOT more than I have, but with mine, I have found that if the humidity goes over 75%, my chicks hatch like your blue bearded one did, and some have even drowned. But that is measuring it with the Accurite therm/hygrometer combo and it's probably off and not exact, so I try not to let it get past 73%. If it spikes to 75% while they're hatching, that's ok as long as it goes back down. But that's just mine - you seem to be doing just fine!!

Doing ok with the storms?
