SWEET!! Im soo excited!! I put a large egg in that i believe is a double yolker. I know it probably wont hathc, but i tried it anyway!

My 4 seramas are due to hatch next week. Around Wednesday. I'm locking down Sunday night before I go to bed. I'm getting very excited. All 4 are growing strong. One egg is much tinier that the others; I hope it hatches alright!

I have lockdown on my dozen Marans on Monday... I am biting my fingernails up to the elbow. Which is a good thing, because it will keep my fingers out of the hatcher! Keep reminding me: Look thru the windows all I want, but DO NOT LIFT THE LID!!

We went in lock down last night and I am sooooo excited!!!

We have 11 wellsummers that should hatch Monday (fingers crossed) The waiting is killing us!!! I can't wait to see them, this will be our first hatch!!!

Mine will hatch on the 21st, I have 24 silkie hatching eggs, BBS and white.

I just had one lavender hatch on Tuesday, which is a miracle chick.

I had seven and a storm blew the electricity for four hours and the temp dropped to 80 degrees.

So the fact that even one hatched is amazing.

It seems to be very healthy and has a lot of spunk for one so small.

So good luck to everyone and wish me luck, that no electricity goes out!!

Even when i dont open mt bator, the humidity dosent stay still. What should i do?

You might have an air leak. I've read of people wrapping duct tape around the 'bator to seal it off for lockdown. I just wrap a heavy blanket around mine to hold in the heat/humidity.
