Hatch On Dates: Oct-nov? Dont Forget About This Post!!!

I locked down my BCM eggs today, only 3 out of the 8 are good probably, but the shells are so dark I am leaving all of them in there just in case. My 2 mystery eggs were no good

But I can hopefully look forward to new chickies friday or saturday!

Hatch results for today - 6 EEs and 4 Sizzles. The most beautiful sizzles, they are almost silver in color. The pic is bad, they are standing on brooder with light under so can't see them well. Will do better tomorrow in sunlight.

Have 3 Frizzles which should hatch tomorrow or Thursday, one is wiggling. Looks like the 3 BOs are not going to hatch (they were shook up badly in shipping), nor 2 more sizzles which looked iffy on lockdown. Tomorrow 2 Brown Leghorns going into lockdown.

I am definitely jealous, but so happy they hatched!I am waiting for the day for me....
Absolutely awesome, I know how much you've worked and watched (to insure all was well) on pins and needles.
Congrats new chick mom.

I put a dozen eggs in incubator on the 2nd and candled them for the third time tonight. I finally saw little chicks moving around in two of the eggs. One egg looked like it has a blood ring but I will keep it until 16th when I candle for the last time before lock up. And the other brown egg I can't really tell what is going on. It looks right on with the two eggs that have viable life but I didn't see any movement.

I tossed out all 5 of my bantam eggs because nothing was happening. I cracked them all open to see what happened and there was nothing but yoke and egg white. What's weird is their was a bullseye in the banty eggs we cracked for breakfast, so I figured they would have been fertile. Is this normal to see the bullseye in eggs and them not amount to a chick? Or am I just seeing things

I also ended up candling the two EE eggs but it looks like there is nothing in them as well.

All the little chicks hatching on here is so exciting! I can't wait to see more pics.

5 more pips and still 2 hatched when I came home. UUUMM question? I see a lot of you guys have them in a brooder? Should I be leaving them in the incubator until all have pipped and zipped? Scared to lower the humidity and shrink wrap. They have dried off nicely since earlier.

PICS!

Looks like a Necked Neck Blue (should be green egger) can't tell frizzle or not though

and a Naked Neck Black w/ fibromelanotic (black) skin, again not sure frizzle and really guessing at color.

I took one out because it was panting. The rest were too active and too close to the heater element so I grabbed them between others hatching. My humidity is pretty high and it has never dropped below 65% when I grab some out.
