I have three chicks who have hatched from the six eggs in my incubator. Going in all six were alive and active (when I checked via candling). The first chick hatched last night (Day 20), and the other two have hatched today. I don't see pips from the other three. Is that normal? This is my first time hatching eggs via an incubator so I'm not sure.

The first one hatched early- they were supposed to hatch today. So it hasn't even been 24 hours from Day 21 (today). I feel like that's normal. The only thing holding me up is that three have hatched without the rest pipping.

If the 3 unhatched eggs haven't externally pipped you could give them a quick candle as then you will have a better idea as to whether they are alive or not. Try to keep the eggs in the same position as they are laying inside the incubator so the chicks don't get disturbed.

A dip in humidity will not affect them as the shell hasn't been broken yet. It's only once they externally pip that humidity is more important, though I've had a chick pip early without me realising when my humidity was still very low, and it hatched out just fine, though it's a good thing I discovered it so I could increase the humidity.

21 days is just an average and if you have cooler spots in your incubator (which is very common) that can delay the hatching of some eggs. It's a good idea to frequently rearrange the eggs in your incubator throughout the course of incubation so that any cooler and warmer spots are evened out.

Good luck with your remaining 3 eggs, and hope you are enjoying your 3 hatchlings. 🥰

Just checked quickly (because there were no pips, otherwise I wouldn't have opened it. I'm terrified of shrink wrapping a chick :( ) and it appears that they are doing well. I saw definitely movement in at least 2. The third one I'm not as sure about.
