We had a dozen eggs that were set at 8 pm on Jan 17. One hatched Friday afternoon, one Friday night, one Sat morning, and one Sat night. There are 3 more that looked good at last candling and 3 that are iffy. Two didn't develop. How long should I let the eggs sit before calling it? Day 21 started Friday at 8 pm.

Candle the remaining viable eggs and check for internal pips. What I like to do is hold the eggs against my ear and gently tapping them with my fingernail. If there's a live chick in there it will respond to the tapping by wriggling, tapping back, or chirping very loudly (be warned).

I tried that already with no result.

Maybe a better question would be, what is the latest day people have had eggs hatch...
