Well Done Everyone!! Those photos are so precious! I am sitting here and gasped when I saw chicklets!! I am holding on for the big ride...my two young chicks (Saffron and Anisette) are 4 weeks old today and getting so big and robust! My girl, Parsley...LAID HER FIRST EGG YESTERDAY!! It is a perfect shape, lovely even colour and such a source of pride for me...she could care less!

It's almost like a daughter getting her first training bra!

Cheers to all of you with pips, zips and peeps! Send out good vibes to those of us who are patiently waiting.....waiting......

We simply must have a slambook or baby book....with their little feats and surprises!

I just went down to check on Mama hen and her peepers and found another baby!

She (wishful thinking) is still wet, so I left her under mommy to dry some more, but I got another adorable picture of the peep that hatched last night.

Mama is a Barred Rock and Daddy is an Easter Egger. Here is a picture of them.

So far, both chicks that have hatched, look just like a Barred Rock but with white facial markings.

I was hoping for some more color out of the two combinations, but we still have 9 more to go

What a stately couple they make! With another 9 to go, I am sure you'll have at least one coloured chick in the bunch! That little face of your chick...those eyes..!

Sorry everyone, been so busy with chickens I haven't had time to post. We have all our eggs on Lockdown. Some of them are rolling around and shaking and moving. It is so neat. I can't wait to see a peep. I think they should start hatching tomorrow and Thursday. I have more to set in lockdown on Friday. I just put some of the neighbors eggs in the incubator on Sunday night. This staggered hatching is exhausting.

I have pips! My first two of the staggered hatch that were set on the 13th have pipped! Yikes!!!
