Hatch with me! Placed in bator on 5-13-2010. First hatch!

I have 1 pip! It is a barnevelder!!!!!

I was egg staring and my husband asked me a question, I turned my head for just a second! Look back and theres a pip!!!!!

So, I put my eggs in lockdown last night. My humidity was holding around 65 with it varying up to 69 during the day. Pretty hot here, so it's a day/night effect. Anyway, this afternoon, I had a spike up to 71. I thought maybe a pip or something. Couldn't see any though. Then about an hour ago, it was reading 74. I only have two small windows to view from. Could it be a pip, or should I open a vent hole to let it come back down? Haven't seen any rockers yet, but I haven't really been egg staring either.

After they pip how long will it take them to hatch??

quick update via my phone (until I can wrestle my laptop back from DH)... 4 have hatched!!! two are for sure black, one looks kinda blue/Blake but is still drying and one blue! another 6 have pipped too! still waiting on the last 6 to pip but I see two of them wiggling in their shells!

sounds like lots of pipping and hatching tonight, can't wait to see all the pics!

Lockdown yesterday and I have a chick! Blue Splash Ameracauna from the looks of things. Another pip and some serious rocking from two others! Pictures to follow soon.

I just looked at my notes from my last hatch because I know I will be wondering how long I have to wait once the chicks pip, and the first to hatch took 5 hrs from pip to hatch
