I went out to check on momma. One of the eggs has been smashed ( young rooster trying to breed momma). It is chirping, I have it a heat pad in a bowl. Do I need to keep water on the yolk? Olive oil?
hatch day is this Friday.

Just keep it in the bowl and bring it inside. Put it in a heated area suitable for a duckling. I would brood this one yourself for a couple days then stick it under the mom once the yolk is absorbed.
