I actually put my Silkie pullet's first two eggs in the incubator just now... on the slight chance that my 5 month old cockerel managed to get something done before I rehomed him this last weekend.

I think I'm deluded by longings for chicks.

That is a great question, Cerise! I'm in love, and I'm addicted, and I can't stop! However, chickens are the only thing I'll ever be addicted to. I can think of far worse. We buried my 34 year old uncle this morning whom died of a drug OD on Sunday. :(
