I'm hoping that since my roo is a swedish flower that I will get some interest in him. There are people around here who keep chickens and I had a lady interested in the roo that I had last year.
I am heartbroken today because I lost a chick! I had 8 babies that are about a week and a half old. They discovered a way to escape their outdoor brooder and I thought I plugged all of their holes, but I guess I didn't. All 8 babies were there before I left for work this morning but 1 was missing when I got home at noon. I searched everywhere and didn't find it. Something must've taken it, but didn't leave a trace
I hate not knowing what happened! I reinforced the brooder again and there is absolutely no way for them to get out, but it will also be a pain in the butt for me to get in, I think they could slip out right next to the door.
My coop is coming along and I might have it functional enough for them to go in there by next week. Of course by then they probably will be too big to escape their current home.
