hatched chicks and mail order chicks together?

I have a hen that should hatch her chicks in 2 weeks. I also ordered baby chicks by mail. IF they coincide closely with born on date would I be able to slip the purchased chicks in under the Mom at night and trick her into thinking they are ALL hers? How many might a std Buff Orpington hen take care of?
Thanks, new to this hatching thing!
