Hatched from a silkie egg???

Hello everyone. this is Sam Scotty's better half I am totally confused by this adorable little chick. hubby and I bought Silkie hatching eggs from a breeder and all the eggs that hatched look like Silkies with the fuzzy fur like feathers except for this sweetie. breeder has never hatch out a frizzle or sizzle in 6 years or breeding these. So just trying to figure out what we have here. Frizzle Sizzle or a silkie in an odd growing stage.

Does the breeder only have silkies? Looks like a bit of frizzle Cochin in it, especially with those street sweeper feet. It certainly is an original.

I have no idea, but I wanted to say that chick is AWESOME! 10/10 I love it! I'd love to see what it grows up into!

It is a frizzle ask the breeder what other chickens they have to figure breed of the father.

My guess is a Serama got to her the feathers are not silkie they are smooth. Looks kind of like a Serama marking.

Yes that is what I was thinking. Told my hubby I think this chick is an oopsie. Still love this feathered baby she or he has is so sweet and cuddley.

I have a couple of frizzles myself and they come to me for cuddling all the time I can sit with them and pet and they will stay on my lap until I put them down then a few mins later they want me to pick them up again. They are the softest chickens ever.
