That is the Texas thread! Mr. Peepers looks normal size! They are really small when they are brand new. My kids are able to wrap one hand around them if that gives you an idea. Just make sure he is drinking okay. Sometimes you have to dip their beak in the water to show them how but if you have seen him drinking already then he is good!! Hope you will keep us updated on how he does!!!

Congrats on your chick hatching on day 29! Just a few comments for you. One is that I would suspect your temps in your incubator were running low, probably more than a degree IMO. Second, that is not a white leghorn chick. I don't know what s/he is (other than adorable!) but your dad was right.

lutz123- according to what you mentioned earlier I think it's a girl. But, I still want to call it Mr. Peepers lol. Also my dad said he thought it was a hen too and he has only seen pictures! Crazy!
