Hatchery BCM- is NOT a BCM..?

Can't be a Black Copper Marans cause Meyer only has Cuckoo Marans and Welsummers as their dark egg layers. They don't sell BCMs... I don't think there is a hatchery that sells any Marans other than the Cuckoos.

Meyer's does have the BCM listed in their newest catalog on page 20, none listed on-line though. I would definitely be calling the hatchery on this one when you're paying almost $6.00/chick. Cute little guy though.

I have a BA cockerel that as a chick looked as he should, but now that he's getting older I wonder whether I should keep him as his coloring and type is all wrong, I think he is a mix. I had bought him for fertile eggs.

The pullets we picked out at the same time look as they should, it's just him.

I did order from the catalogue "Rare Marans collection" it was supposed to be BCM, white feather legged marans and feather legged B/B/S marans.
I also ordered cuckoo marans.

I got this chick and..
A clean legged white chick with yellow legs that looks exactly like a white rock.
A feather legged splash chick (at least that one looks right.. )
and 3 cuckoo marans- 2 of which have yellow legs and look like BR's.. one is probably a roo...

.. I also got 4 Welsummers- 2 didn't make it- they refunded those, and the two remaining look OK to me.. but I'm no expert.

I would call to get credit, but seriously.. I would NEVER order from them again.
